I'm 33 a big kid at heart like games & internet. Always try something once if it takes my fancy. Great lover of RPG & anime. Own a PSP & PS3. So i'm right into games. Big fan of stuido ghibli anime & a great fan of square soft & square enix games.

Phantasy Star kept entertained over the last xmas period. It was a gift i received and was very surprise to get. You could image i steamed into this on xmas day and was pleasant surprise with its furtristic graphics but limited on the areas to travel to. But loads of little fun things to do.
You take the role of a young boy whos father was a protector of the planets (Guardian) almost a bit like a UN peace officer. To his dismay he finds out his father is killed while out on a mission and now needs to help bring his sister up and try to get a job to look after her and seems to be watched over by a friend of the family who persuades the young boy to carry in his fathers foot steps as a Guardian on the universe and protect all the indangered planets.
Game starts off a little bit slow and then the storyline kicks in. You get to do dungeons and even get to do like a tutorial mission at the very beginning of the game so you can get use to the joypad and the actions you can do. After a while of getting into the game you get the option to do quests aswell as your main missions. Little mini games. Some nice effects and some lovely colouring. Shame about the actual playable characters. Not very life like still needs a liitle bit more detail place into them.
I enjoyed this game very much but i found that is was very limited to what you could do. It also has an online function so if you have a PS2 online you can join other players across the world. The only down point on that its not free to access online. You need to purchase a subscription to play this. I believe if you paid for the game then you show get a free subscription no matter what. Its amazing how much money these companies make money from the gamers in this industry.
Nice story line and dungeons, but lacking in camera angles and repetive monsters. Overall a nice game for everyone to play but boredom sets in after a while.
