I was recommended Phenergan by our pharmacist for motion sickness for my daughter who is 3 years old. The dosage is one 5ml spoon the night before and one 5ml spoonful the morning before travelling. The effect is dramatic.
My daughter gets motion sickness if she goes further that about 10 miles and is sick for the duration of the whole journey. Now she is happy travelling by car, plane or boat and doesn't get at all sick. She still manages to eat and drink normally.
It does make her slightly drowsy, not falling asleep on her nose or anything but seems to "chill her out". I would think that two or more spoonfuls would make her fall asleep instantly, especially as in larger doses as it is a sedative. I wouldn't like to take the chance and find out.
As a travel sickness drug it excellent in my opinion.

Good op - but use this with extreme caution, particularly in young childre, it is recommended for use, often when it shouldn't be. The side and after effects are horrible, and leave a permanent drowsy and hungover feeling which equates easily to having 10 pints of lager.

Good outline, as a handy hint medical ops tend to be more useful if they list the active ingredients (promethazine isnt it?) - helpful for people with allergies etc. Cazz xx
