Advantages: Very fast efficient way of making healthy tasty drinks Disadvantages: None
I was originally planning to buy a Jack La Lanne - my original juicer purchased years before at the Ideal Home Show had given up and I had my heart set on a whole fruit juicer. The Jack La Lanne was expensive and I saw the Philips in a London store for just under £100 and bought it. It is easy to use, very easy to take apart for cleaning and re-assemble. It is a very effcient juicer and the pulp which comes out is nearly dry which is a sign of a good juicer.
A couple of years later I saw one of the La Lanne models on special offer and decided there would be no harm in owning a "spare". I was very disappointed. The juicer has more parts that need cleaning after use and takes longer to dismantle. It is also noisier than the Philips.
For anyone who has seen the hyped up ads for the La Lanne Juicer, and is torn between the two ...

Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean
and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance.
I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin ...
Advantages: Superb sound quality and easy to use Disadvantages: Missed call and sim card transfer needs improvement
slight irritation with text input is switching from upper to lower case. On most mobile phones, this is done by pressing either the star, hash or similar key. However to do this on the Philips phone involves holding down a dedicated key for at least two seconds which can seem irritatingly time consuming. Entering numbers into a text can also be a little annoying also as you have to press the relevant key several times (e.g to get the number "2", you would have to press the key 4 times) on a mobile phone numbers can usually be substituted by holding down keys. A useful feature with the SMS function on the phone is the ability to have up to nine different mailboxes, ideal if there are several different family members using the facility.
The main base unit has a slide out panel which allows you to insert the sim card from your mobile phone ...
