Phillips 10FF2CME photo frame is an example of what Phillips is all about. Phillips show their ability in creating innovative consumer products that both they and the consumers can be proud of. This digital photo frame is no exception to Phillips inventive ingenuity. The Phillips 10FF2CME has a larger screen than many of Phillips alternative photo frames, with a screen size of 10.2". Which is considerable, given the pixel density of the photo frame. The pixel density is basically the number of pixels in a given area. For example, this photo frame has 16 million pixels in a 10.2" (720 x 480) screen, which gives it a pixel density of 91.5 ppi (pixels per inch).
The screens high pixel density means that you can view your photos in the same quality as high quality photo prints. It weighs 1.37 kg, which is a lot for a photo frame, but then again you are not going to carry around a photo frame with you wherever you go. It has a USB interface which will allow you to connect the photo frame to a PC, therefore allowing you to upload photos from your PC to the photo frame. It also means that USB interfaced devices such as cameras, mp3/mp4 players, camera phones etc. will be able to connect to the photo frame. Which obviously means that you will be able to view your digital photographs through the Phillips photo frame. The Phillips 10FF2CME features an Auto power OFF function, which as you already guessed, switches off the gadget when the battery is about to die and also when you are charging the device in order to save power. The stand at the back of the photo frame can be adjusted to suit your needs or your viewing angle, depending on how you look at it. There is also a featured clock and reminder, which may come in handy if you are the type who always needs reminding. An added bonus is the memory card reader, which removes the need of connection via USB cable to external devices such as phones and PC's. The following are the supported formats: CompactFlash Card type I, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, xD-Picture Card, microSD and SDHC Memory Card. Although there may be some memory cards which are not compatible with the photo frame, the most likely solution to this problem would be to get a memory card adapter. Which, when buying most memory cards is provided in the package. If not, they can be bought separately from most electronics stores.
You get internal flash memory of 128 MB, which is not a lot looking at how much memory high quality digital photographs take. For example, if you are using a 5 megapixel digital camera each photo will take up at least 1 MB of memory. Nowadays high quality 10-megapixel digital cameras can be bought for a not so high price. 10 mega pixel photographs will take up at least 2 MB of memory, which ultimately means that the better the quality of the photo the fewer that can be viewed at a time. However, regular photo frames are supposed to only allow 1 photo to be viewed at a time, but with a digital one many more can be viewed. Which removes the need of buying many photo frames to basically hold many photos. This in turn saves space and maybe money, depending on how many you buy and how much you pay for the non-digital photo frames. There is support for only JPEG images, which is the most familiar format for digital photos. However it would have been handy if other formats were supported such as BMP (bitmap), GIF and TIFF. The support of many formats would have reduced the need to convert photos before they could be viewed. The playback modes include Auto slide show, zoom in, rotate, thumbnail and collage. The Auto slide show feature will allow 1 hour of photo playback, unless you opt to keep the charging cable securely plugged in. The 10FF2CME is compatible with all of Apple's and Microsoft's Operating Systems, which include Mac OS X and Vista respectively.
You can buy the Phillips 10FF2CME online for as cheap as £192. But if you physically go to a specialist Phillips store and purchase the Photo Frame you may be able to convince the manager to lower the price. It works most of the time with expensive products such as electronics. There is also an option of buying from E-bay, the largest online market. The only downside to this is the small memory capacity and the fairly high price. Overall it is a very good product for photo lovers as it provides a high-quality and very good looking display as well as the many playback modes.

ha ha another reminder for me!! - great review -- Mary
I personally feel that 190 is quite a lot for a photoframe. Althuogh then again, normal photoframes cost a fortune these days.
