nice. My Dad doesn't share the same opinion commenting that it is, 'Too arty-farty'. I'm not sure what he means by that, but that must just be his way of saying he doesn't like it. It is made using a bluey/silver coloured plastic, which gives it a modern look and feel. It goes well with our chrome fittings and modern decorative style in the kitchen. The actual television set itself, measures roughly 40 cm in height by around 40 cm in width. It is also just below 40cm in depth, so it is virtually a cube shape. It fits in well in the kitchen as it isn't too deep, the last one we had nearly touched the edge of the worktop and was very dangerous. The screen size is 14 inches diagonally accross. It is a fair size, considering you get the video incorporated as well.
DURABILITY

I have been very happy with my Televideo since its? purchase about a year ago. I bought it because I wanted an extra television in my home which could be moved around easily. I had always only had one television but after the birth of my child and all the night feeding that followed I needed something to keep me awake and alert while feeding and also make the lack of sleep seem more durable. This suited me perfectly as it meant I could stay in bed feeding happily and could also move it around the house easily.
Having a television and Vcr combined does make it so easy to move around as there is only one lead to plug in and no cables to fuss about with.
This Philips14PV111 was my answer. I chose this one basically because I got it at a local electrical store for the bargain price of £125 ? a good investment but I have not been ...

Advantages: Simplicity itself to operate, looks great, easy set up Disadvantages: Minor niggles - small buttons on the remote control, clock doesn't change automatically like it should, not fully automatic tuning
Both our daughters have received a TV/VCR combi from their nan for their 5th birthday. This year was Alices turn so with a nanny provided budget of £150 we went shopping. It's one thing shopping for a TV but shopping for something that a 5 year old can use is something else entirely. We dismissed Hitachi and Sony combo's as way too complicated; there were too many buttons on the remote controls, the buttons on the front were too small. Then there were the practical concerns; the SCART lead issue that I don't understand and which Mark considers highly important...
