...there for reviewing is the Philips 190cw7cs, 19inch widescreen. I mostly seem to use my computer for work these days but I do find time to watch the odd downloaded movie on this monitor and have also watched various sporting events through my TV tuner when her indoors wont let me watch them on the TV. During all of these activities and a small amount of gaming this monitor has performed admirably.

The monitor I use and am there for reviewing is the Philips 190cw7cs, 19inch widescreen. I mostly seem to use my computer for work these days but I do find time to watch the odd downloaded movie on this monitor and have also watched various sporting events through my TV tuner when her indoors wont let me watch them on the TV. During all of these activities and a small amount of gaming this monitor has performed admirably.
The pc I am using this monitor with is a Sony built Hi-Grade with a 3.6ghz processor and a Sapphire - Radeon X1650 Pro Ultimate Edition graphics card. I can vouch for the clarity of picture with this monitor as the previous monitor I used was the original Sony monitor that accompanied the pc which I thought would be hard to beat and whilst I am not saying this beats the Sony I am saying its a very good match for it.
Because it is a widescreen monitor it performs very well for watching movies but can be just a little annoying when viewing certain web pages. Some older games also seem to be a bit stretched on it but in general having widescreen suits me.
Right from the first moment as I unwrapped this monitor I was very impressed, not only did I know from checking on line that it had all the specs I would need but now seeing it in front of me for the first time could see how impressive it looked. It was eye catching as well as being very sturdy, not at all flimsy like a lot of these monitors can be. It also came with a very easy to understand manual which contained everything I was likely to need to know but also just in case there was something missed it also has a website address and email contact for extra help.
The one big advantage I find with a widescreen of this size is I can find room all over the screen to open what ever windows I need at one time. I can often be found watching a bit TV whilst at work and instant messaging friends. As long as your pc has the power to multi task this monitor has the space to view it all on.

At a cost of somewhere between £125 & £170 depending on where you buy from it is obviously good advice to encourage you to shop around. I purchased mine from amazon.co.uk; at £135 I am more than happy with my purchase. There are much cheaper options out there in this size which claim to do all the things this can but be very careful with computers and their peripherals because you really do get what you pay for in this market.
All in all I would be delighted to recommend this particular product to anyone, I have personally been using it for a little over 3 months and it has performed very well in all tasks. I am a keen photographer and also make a lot of amateur movies and when viewing them and editing them on this screen you really can zoom in and get the very best images possible with its immense clarity. So what ever you use your pc for I am sure this monitor will be more than capable of producing a perfect view of your work. As I mentioned earlier I have used the monitor only briefly for gaming but my nephew has assured me that it is as good as anything he has used for gaming and believe me he spends most of his time awake playing some sort of game or another.
If you are in the market for a new monitor then I sincerely hope my review has been of some use to you, you won’t be disappointed with this monitor, good luck in making the right choice and thanks for taking the time to read my review.
