Advantages: 22", Widescreen, good looking, excellent image quality, good moving image Disadvantages: No height adjustment, erm... it wasn't free?
...There were a few reasons I was looking to change my monitor. The first was that, at just under five years old, my old (19" CRT) monitor was starting to show signs of strain and I wanted it replaced before the poor thing died on me. Secondly, I'm considering building myself a new PC (or buying one) at the end of the year and in order to spread the cost out a little, I wanted to buy a new monitor now.
I had actually been looking for a new monitor for some months, having initially discounted CRT (the big television type monitors) for being far too bulky for the screen size I had in mind (over 20 inches), my choice was TFT (or LCD) monitors.
I had a few criteria in mind. I was looking for something at least 22", preferably widescreen, a good contrast ratio and a quick refresh time (8ms or under) which was necessary for watching DVDs...

Advantages: good features, design, and image Disadvantages: be better if the warranty was more like 2 or 3 years instead of 1
...better than some.
I use 2 satellite tweeters and a subwoofer instead of the inbuilt ones, but they would suffice if you just used the PC for office work, so only need to hear "beeps" and "clicks".
There are usb sockets on the left of the screen case, so it can be used as a "handy hub" for flash drives, etc.

I found that most retailers didn't know there were 2 versions.
They had the DVI version on display, but only the HDMI version in stock, and were insisting that the boxed stock was the same as the display one.
After explaining the difference, they were all surprised there were 2 variants.

...cable between monitor and computer and a monitor :)
Display
Resolution as we know is an important issue in monitors, because as higher it is as more specific/detailed picture can be (depends from picture quality too), more things can be displayed at the same time and so on. This one offers maximum of 1680x1050 pixels (but with HDCP card it increases to 1900 x 1080 p) which is good enough for standard use. Brightness is 300cd/m2 and it is a weak point but not crucial. We need to remember about its price. I bought mine online for 400 dollars. Now it's almost half. Technology goes in such a speed that many products loose price but not quality, thus we should not look at this factor. Image contrast ratio is 1000:1 which is acceptable and gives very good visual experience.
Design
It is very stylish monitor I think. I have...
