Manufacturer's product description
You like to keep things simple, neat, and compact. You want your home theater components to be the same way. Of course, you want the great picture and performance of a Philips TV. The solution? The Philips TV/VCR combination. Now, wasn't that simple? The Philips 20PV230 TV-VCR Combi is provided with 2 PLL Tuners so you can watch one program while recording another. Installing a Combi has never been easier! No need of the user manual. Just let the Combi guide you through the installation steps. Start a recording with the touch of a single button. Each further touch of the record button adds 30 minutes of recording time. The actual end time will be automatically calculated by the set and displayed. SMART Clock takes care of automatic download of the current time and date. No more hassle with the clock setting after long power failure or at the daylight savings time switch over. And with Digital Studio Picture Control you are sure to obtain the best picture quality with any kind of tape thanks to a digitally controlled Noise-Reduction Circuitry.
Advantages: Value for money, best picture Disadvantages: not the best looking
...The 36" Philips Flat screen TV is in in my opinion the best in the range.
I stood in Selfridges and John Lewis for about 2 hours trying to decide which 36 inch had the best picture. The Hitachi was awful, the new Sony was also poor and far too expensive at about £2,500. It came down to the Philips and the Panasonic. The Panasonic looks better, but the Philips is cheaper, and has a clearer and brighter picture.
The on screen displays are great, the remote control is not amazing, but it does the job. Definitely the best value for money....

Advantages: They sound fine Disadvantages: Irreplaceable rubber caps fall of WAY TOO easily
...Beware Beware Beware before buying ANY Philips in-ear headphones. They come with little rubber ear caps... that just loosely "hang" on the end of each headphone to seal into your ear. These things get lost EXTREMELY easily, easpecially if you are running or doing any type of exercise activity. When you lose them in a matter of a few months, you are completely out of luck & WILL NOT find anywhere that seels them. As a matter of fact, I was told Philips purposely does not sell these cheap little items so people must buy a whole new set of headphones which ,to me as a customer, is insulting. Trust me, you will go through the same experience as I if you buy ANY Philips in-ear headphones....

Advantages: Great Sound Quality Disadvantages: A bit Bulky
...The Philips SBCHC200 for gave me great sound quality for not too higher price. The infa-red does actually work though can be quite hard to set up but once you get used to it is ok. They are quite bulky but is worth it for the sound quality. Nice to wear with comfortable foam that raps round your ears to complete the experiance, blocking out softer surround sound so you can hear what your listening to. The Philips SBCHC200 looks slick and the designers at Phillips have done well with the looks. The Infa- red really does work, and once you have got over the hassle of setting it up it works with ease from then on.
Hope I have convinced you to buy!...

Sonicare was my dentists recommendation. I previously used an electric rechargable brush with mechanical action - and I cannot believe the difference that using this sonic unit has made. After 3 months use, my teeth are whiter, feel smoother to the... more

Ahhhh the wonders of cordless shavers!
My first ladyshave was a little white one with one of those twirly, coily wires, which then meant that you had to find a socket to be able to use it. So that meant having to shave in the bathroom, and if someone... more
I was attracted to purchase this DVD player a while ago for its DivX capabilities (something not too many players have).
It is a fairly impressive HDMI player, supporting 1080p High Definition resolution pictures. The HD output is flawless and makes... more
I have fairly sensitive skin and up until now I have always used a wet shave razor. Wet razors didn't leave my skin burning, but they did leave the skin feeling very exposed and would cause it to dry out. Since I'd read that electric razors were good in... more
Whilst using this particular Philips shaver, i have to say probably one of the best electric razors on the market, I felt none of that tingeley sensation you get if your facial hair is a bit more than stubby.
