What a big disappointment, a few days after the installation, everytime we turn off the tv with the remote control, there is a bright lightning flash behind the manual On/Off switch after 5seconds to 5 minutes.
The bad part is that the oufit -a well known french outfit with white letters and a light brown square for their logo- have to arrange pick up by a third party, send it to their tech support for a few days, issue a bill, so we can then go back to the store for pick up which is barely a subway stop away . The 30 years old Philips TV is still running, yes it is a philips too.
The kicker is trying to read the serial number, you need a magnifier, and about the same for the remote control.... What about remote control for the shortsighted?
The worst, was to wait for tech support -at least they did not charge us for the call- to tell you what to do, loose the line, redial and wait for another few minutes... being told to check back in 30 minutes... Then call customer service again.... wait..... what a headache.
