This is my personal experience with TV PHILIPS32PW8651/12 bought at Kodin-1 (Anttila Oy), Oulu - Finland. I decided to place this information at various sites used by electronics consumers for their possible consideration.

Price: 499 EUR
Summary of problem:
Usage: Regular use for 10 days approximately. TV was not used at all during 10-13.08.2006 period (travelling).
Problem: On 23.08.2006 23:00 while reproducing a DVD the image flickered in the lower area very noticiably. Subsequently the TV turned off and on itself.
Incident was reported to Kodin-1 (Anttila Oy), Oulu - Finland on 24.08.2006 (12:00 and 16:00).
Solution offered ...
Advantages: Great sound and vision, looks stunning Disadvantages: None......again
you purchase a Philips manufactured product. There are no obvious signs of anything that can go dramatically wrong at the moment and I don?t expect anything to. I will definitely update this review if anything does happen to it and it needs fixing.
--Ease of Use--
I have always found that all of the Philips electrical products that I have come into contact with are easy to operate. They are very much made with novice user in mind, so it is easy for anybody young or old to use. The setup and layout is very basic, whilst maintaining a little elegance and everything is clearly marked. The buttons and their functions are clearly indicated and short boxes of text appear on screen and tell what you have done to the television if you are having a fiddle around.

My last television served me for years before I gave into temptation and forked out £399.99 for the Philips32PFL5403D to enable me to move into the 21st century and experience the true viewing purity of HD performance. I'm not a big watcher of television and don't have acres of space so the larger more expensive models were easy to ignore and I honestly think I have unearthed a gem of a television that didn't break the bank.
The set up and installation was a piece of cake as the flat screen is really easy to put into place as it isn't that heavy and is easily portable with most of the weight in the base and lower part of the unit to give it balance when placed on any flat surface. I opted to buy a specialist television stand for a further £69.99 as the high-tec look really didn'y fit in with the oak stand my old television was ...
