A great TV that will also brighten up your room 25/10/2006

Advantages Very stylish; excellent picture quality; motorised stand
Disadvantages Doesn't overcome all of the issues with LCD technology; not 1080p

I bought my Philips 32 PF 9986 back in March in anticipation of the launch of the Playstation 3 and high-definition digital TV. Alas, with no high-def TV yet available from my cable company and no PS3 until March 2007, I have yet to use my TV for it's intended purpose! However, in terms of standard-definition TV and DVD viewing, this TV has proved very competant for the most part. Picture quality: colours are very bright, vivid and accurate, and remain so even when viewing the screen from a relatively tight angle. The image does begin to turn grey and flat when viewing from very tight angles ... more
