Hi everyone What can I say ,my husband has finally managed to pursuade me to agree to him purchasing a large flat screen tv ,even if it was a little late for the world cup experience ,and I have to say I should have let him have one earlier .So come on girls ,let your men have their way . They really are the business ! We decided on the phillips 37pf5521d model ,this has a 37inch screen which is just right as we have decided to mount it on the wall so is just right for our sized room ,but larger models are available .It is fantastic ,it is HD ready ,digital ,widescreen LCD screen with loudspeakers .The sound is awesome ,the picture is crisp ,sharp digital crystal clear providing vivid cinema like images .Above all it is a sleek stylish compact design with a black and silver coloured surround which would suit any room ,it has virtual dolby surround ,fasttext and you can watch analogue tv while recording a digital program if required .As I said earlier we decided to wall mount it ,but you have to buy the wall bracket as extra size 800x400,otherwise it comes with a small stand . It has made my tv viewing more fun and the kids also like playing playstation on the large screen ,so everyone is happy .
Advantages: Easy to wall mount easy access to ports and very easy to tune Disadvantages: Hardly none really apart from the size but its depends of the person
This is an excellent tv back when i had a normal tv bulky and hard access and none portable and the xbox 360 games and much better viewing on HD tvs so i decided to purchase a HD tv now looking at the offers on i found the best deal with philips!
An excellent buy if u want to get update to date with HD dvd viewing and HD games and HD sound!
Really its up to you but if you fancy a change and are looking for an easy to view use and programme HD tv ...

Advantages: Stylish, very clear picture and sound quality and very reliable. Disadvantages: Can be quite heavy causing it to be hard to wall mount.
Philips TV's - Get the picture
I have got a philips tv that I have owned for around 2 years now.
It is very good and the whole time that I have owned it has not had even one single problem and has had a very good clear picture and plenty of good features.
Also it was very easy to set up and came with a very nice remote control that matched well with the television set and came with very clear instructions.
It (in my opinion) is a cut above the ... ...thing I like about my philips TV is that it has very good sound quality that I have not seen rivaled by many other Television sets and it has been this good and it was not even one of the most expensive Televisions on the market and so was bought for real value for money with a deal that I am still pleased with.
It is a very good television set and if you are in the shops looking for a new TV I would personally reccommend to you to buy a philips. ...
