After looking at lots of new tv's,i decided on a philips plasma 42"..simply as philips is a name you can trust, and has been around many years, build quality is important to me..as is the look of the product, and last but not least, the picture quality(most important to most people)the sound was found to be good, from the built in speaker system..and i also found the price very good against some other brands..i found it easy to install, two people a must(to hang tv on a wall anyway) wiring staight forward,no problems..picture is visable all angles which impressed me! top quality, sharp picture!! overal,i found this an amazing tv...looks superb in my living room..and saves space...remote control is easy to use too!even came with bateries ! well packaged from factory..very recomended!!10/10

THE TV ITSELF IS VERY WELL MADE,AND LOOKS GOOD IN ITS SATIN SILVER FINISH..i liked this colour as it matches the other items i've been buying for my house.THE WORST BIT ABOUT BUYING THIS PLASMA HAS BEEN THE FACT THAT MONSTER LEADS ARE EXPENSIVE!.I have paid over £100 for leads! but they are gold plated(should have been solid gold for that price!)and gas injected to stop interferance...now i dont know how important these are,to be honest you problerly wouldnt notice the differance if you were to use cheaper leads, but i didnt pay over £2000 for a tv,only to use cheap leads that may not be as good quality as the set up i have needs!i must add that the leads do look real well made,so you can make your own mind up on that one.!
the tv came with a wall bracket, which as long as you get you measurements right(you dont want a wonky tv on your wall do you?)its rather straight forward to fit..even thought it requires a brick wall to fix to..no studwork walls..these tv's weigh nearly 40 kg's!

I found the set up and tuning very easy..you can manual tune or auto tune...so the tv sorts it's self out! very easy with clear promts on screen..the scart leads both fit to the bottom side of the tv set,as do the power cable, and any thing else like dvd video or even your pc!!

i have heard tales of dead pixels on new plasma's,but i have had none..this tv set is prefect! i have had no problems with anything.Even though to be safe i have taken out a rather expensive insurance on it..(for five years) at an extra £550!! so in a funny way i hope i need it!
I really must recomend this plasma tv set..the viewing angle is fantastic! much better blackness than lcd,and brighter colours.the sharp picture allways gets a coment when someone new comes into my house. people love it,and always want to stay and watch my tv?!!

10/10 from me...go on you know you want one!
