Advantages: Excellent picture, good sound, impressive screen Disadvantages: Speakers at the back

It looks very big but is slim enough to put against the wall so doesn't actually take up much room. We considered wall mounting it, especially because we were told that the screen is better viewed from below than from above, but we are puzzling over what we would do with the wires that would hang down.
The black and clear frame is very smart and the stand is solid and sleek. The tiny light at the bottom right hand corner doesn't bother us at all.
The picture quality is excellent for an LCD - and on the HD channels it is simply astounding. The screen is big enough for the football lover in the house to be able to block out absolutely everthing else for a total sporting experience.
The sound is also good, but the speakers are at the back of the TV - is that normal nowadays? I'm a bit worried when it's turned up in case it's bothering the adjoining neighbours. I would prefer the sound to be coming out the front.
We have also watched some band we filmed live ourselves with a camera and put onto DVD and the quality is really very good.
When we first got the TV we didn't know about the Dynamic Contrast and thought there was something wrong as the light levels seem to adjust ever time the picture moves to a new scene and this can be rather irritating once you start to notice it - and you will.
Early days, only having had the TV for a few weeks, but so far there are 2 very happy customers for this one.
Advantages: really good viewing area. crisp colours Disadvantages: no front connectors
I have owned this TV for six months now. So should be able to give a reasonable review of the ups and downs. I will start with the box it came in. We had it delivered from Curry's and they took the box away with them. It was well packed with the polysterene and plastic covering the screen. All this saves any disapointents on damage. I was left to assemble the table and the stand it was to sit on. First the stand. Three levels, eight silver posts ... ...minutes it was ready.
The TV stand was a little more complex. The base of the stand fits into the back of the TV and when tightning up the bolts to hold it together you are on your own as to how tight you do them. They dont take much to hold it together though. Setting up the TV was a doddle, It did it on its own. I set up on the aireal to do the five channels first. Job done no trouble. Then switched to the digital channels. That took about four ...

...is as good as a philips 37" LcD that we use upstairs
Having said all of the above, my tv is connected through a Sky+ box and I dont think this is as good as the previous Panasonic basic box.
The specification is above many competitor sets and the price for a 1080p set is very attractive
I still have a lot of time for Philips products ...

Advantages: Size of screen, good colour and contrast Disadvantages: poor refresh rate for gaming
This is a very attractive looking television, fits well in any living area. Great quality screen for the price, exceptional contrast ratio and if you're a gamer, the Xbox 360 hits the sweet spot at 1080i. The only thing I will say is the refresh rate isn't great at 1080p. It sounds very impressive. The speakers located on the rear of the set. There's enough connections for anyone, HDMI, scart, vga, aerial in. Setting up the picture might be a little ... ...to calibrate the sets contrast and colour settings. One thing that did annoy a little was the 'Active Control' setting, where the screen will dim and brighten based on whats being displayed on screen at the time. Overall, I would recommend it if you find a good priced model. ...
