Since my eyes were drawn to these in Comet, I have never been able to get out of my head of what a great idea it is. Not everyone can display all of their photos they have, buying loads of frames, finding the room to hang your photographs, and even doing the DIY for it. With this is it so much simpler, and fun too. I hope you can gain some more knowledge about this item, just like I have.

You may be asking, what is a digital photo frame? If you have never come across these, then let me tell you. A photo frame, which changes pictures. Not any pictures, your pictures. You can simply choose the images you want to appear on your photo frame, and they will change, and rotate at timeloops to suit you. This is only a small introduction of what this product does, but I have included in much more detail below:

The price of this Philips digital photo frame was £69.99. I bought it a few weeks back, and I think that it is quite a clever invention. I would never have thought about it, but it is just such a great thing to have in your home. I bought this from Comet, and for a great product like Philips, it is a great deal, great price and a great product, all rolled into one. Personally, I would pay that little bit extra to buy a brand which is very well known and popular, instead of saving a few pounds or pennies on a product which you don't know too much about.

In the long box, was a lot of packaging. This is to prevent it bashing around in the box. We live in a world where every electrical item is packaged so much, it takes longer to un-wrap the item, than to choose one in store. Of course you get your mains plug, which connects to the digital photo frame. This one does not run on batteries, but I know that some models by Phillips do, so if that is what you are after, look at the boxes carefully. I don't always have mine on, to save electricity, but if you turn it off, it's not going to loose your photographs.

The instruction leaflet is in around ten different languages, so do not be shocked at the size of the instructions. For each language, is around 3-4 pages of instructions. It's pretty basic, but if you are not into technology it is best to read it carefully. They outline what needs to be done, how to clean the screen, the frame, and what to do with any faults with the product, website, address and contact details. It also tells you how to add photos, change and delete photos. I have included some of this for you, in an easier way of understanding.

The photo frame needs a memory card, the types that fit into your digital camera. Different photo frames needs certain memory cards, and Phillips have created a few of these digital photo frames, so make sure you purchase the right one. If you have a card reader, even easier. All you have to do is insert the card into your card reader on your computer. Go to your pictures on your comptuer and click and drag the photographs you want into the folder that will appear on screen. This puts the photographs onto the memory card. When inserted into the photo frame, they will fit nicely in great quality onto the photo frame. If the memory card is taken out, don't fear, they will still be on the memory card. If you don't have a card reader, you can use take photos on your digital camera, and slot into the photo frame, and view the photographs that you have taken. Both methods are fairly easy, and you will get used to adding, deleting, and replacing photos.

I have my digital photo frame on my bedside, on my table. It doesn't take up too much room, and looks nice at any time of the day. It looks nice in the evening, and when people come in the room they will probably compliment your snazzy photo frame too. You can hang it on a wall too, would look nice anywhere.

I don't think this photo frame has any downsides really. It hasn't broken, but it would be good to see a photo frame that can play video clips too. Nothing bad or major.

Overall, great personal product, great for updating pictures, without printing costs, free to update too.
