The Photo frame is of glossy black color which looks attractive and sober. The Look and feel of the gadget is good. The glossy black texture is very mush inn these days. as we see alot of LCD TV screens and monitors in this texture. This is a good thing and really liked by all.
8" display is a bit improvement over the earlier 6" and 7" display. But i feel i need more than just 8". I would definitely need bigger display like 12" or at least 10" so that the photos should visible with their details.
The playback features such as Auto slide show, Collage, Delete, Rotate, Thumbnail, Zoom in are good and encouraging for this kind of gadget. atleast something new is given by Philips. But more feature should have been added as well. The frame supports Alarm, auto shut down, clock which are some of the standard feature now a days.
Media Supported:- The frame supports CompactFlash Card type I, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO Duo, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card, XD-Picture Card. Plus there is USB support for memory stick support as well.
Picture Quality:- 800x600 display ratio is good but not upto the mark as compared with latest peers available.
Verdict:- The photo frame is good, but not upto the mark if comparing with latest peers. there are vast range of features which are available now a days such as music player, bigger size display, better contrast ratio, much bigger interface support.
It is very well said that with gadget it always the latest the better, as technology keeps on improving. You always get better.
