Advantages: Requires no batterys. Disadvantages: Large, chunky and reception not great.
Wind up radio's have been around for a little while now, but no large electronics coorperation has tried to launch their own model, untill now! Phillips basicly have used the original wind up technology, but have modified it slightly to get round the original pattent.
The Radio looks nice, but feels slightly cheap. It has AM/FM reception which works well. Tuning is made easy with a tuning nob on the side. The wind up 'winder' is positioned on the front of the radio, this unfortunatly make the radio difficult to fit in a case, or stand up. A breif wind will give about 40mins of play. Towards the end of this time, i noticed that reception suffered.
The radio comes with a nice rubber carry strap on the back, and overall is not bad. A good attempt by Phillips!

Advantages: Autonomy, sound quality,AM and FM Disadvantages: None
I RADIATE PHILIPS-MODEL AE 160 This philips radio has a good sound. You have AM and FM. You have tone control.Connection for headphones. You also work with AC, incorporate 220voltios. But the best in this radio is your great autonomy. The batteries 2 R20. You take two batteries of the big ones. But they last months (alkaline). Depending on the use. You have a great speaker that give one good soung quality. Your price in Spain is of 24?. You are analogical. The dial is plastic slipping, you don't break. You have antenna telescopic for FM. And antenna of ferrite for AM. You weigh a little. It can catch with a single hand. The front part is metallic (the grill). THE BEST THING: The great autonomy of the batteries. Governable. And good sound.

Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean
and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance.
I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin ...
