This Philips boombox has great sound with excellent speakers, especially the wOOx speaker which gives it that extra power or zing. However you would call it. I bought this just to listen to CDs only and it gave me one of the best sound systems for a boombox. The amount of sound it provides is unbelievable. If you play music with a strong beat, you can see the wOOx speaker move completely out and then in again. This is value for money. If you go to Argos, you can get this for around £80 which is cheap for a company like Philips. You know you get quality when you buy a Philips. This is not only good for listening to music on, but because of the strong bass it provides a good beat and rhythm to dance to you. When I played this on full blast, I could feel the floor vibrate. I was astonished when I felt the floor moving underneath me. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good Cdplayer for their bedroom or to travel with.
