My partner bought this from boots for £20. When I first went to use it I read all instructions which are very straight forward and plugged it in it says to fill it with water just past the level of the bottle that your heating, which is simple.
It has 3 heat settings which I don't think you really need because I just keep it on the highest so it heats up quicker. All the other 2 settings do is make it take longer to heat.
It is very easy to over heat as it doesn't turn off unless you turn it off by the plug switch. So it continually heats so you have to remember to take the bottle out.
I once took the bottle out and forgot to turn it off and left heating up all day with nothing in it oops...
Still works fine but I think it would be better if it had some kind of safety precaution to turn off when not used ...
I bought the Avent Express Bottle & Babyfood from Tesco two months ago. I initially wasn't going to buy this product because I thought I could mildy heat the food in the microwave. However the baby food kept getting extremely overheated in the microwave and then the food would be too hot to give to the baby. Therefore I decided to purchase the Avent Express Bottle and Baby Food warmer from Tesco. It quite good at heating the baby food to the correct temperature. There are 3 heat settings (1, 2 and 3 on the dial). I usually use heat setting 1. Most often I put the food from the jar into little baby food containers and then put the food containers into the warmer. The food warmer is also quite easy to clean. ...
Advantages: Looks good. Does what it says on the tin. Disadvantages: Not practical. Missing too many essential features.

Fortunately, having managed to get our daughter through her first four years, we were able to apply some of the valuable lessons we learned to our new born son, and one item we decided we could do without was the Avent Express Babyfood and BottleWarmer. It?s not that the product is a bad idea, its just that it is limited in its application and not very well ...
