This slim, stylish eye catcher makes big impressions with its small footprint, flicker-free performance, people-friendly ergonomic engineering and environment-friendly design. Better yet, Brilliance 150 series is a feast for the eyes, delivering superb display quality, outstanding color brightness and exceptional contrast. Designed for computer users, the Brilliance 150 series combines "best in class" performance with solid value.
...From the set off I must warn you that this opinion will be of little use to the more technically minded reader, I am ciao’s most techno phobic member and the fact that I am attempting to write a review on a piece of computer hardware is a wonder in itself.
Like most computer illiterates I thought my 17” standard type monitor was the canines dangly bits, it was large enough to read web pages easily and large enough to make game playing enjoyable and easy on the eye but the down side was the bulkiness of the thing, it took up loads of room on my desk, was heavy and gathered dust quicker than a Bjork CD in the Jimblob household.
Enter the rather sexy, and ultimately satisfying PhilipsBrilliance 180 P2 LCD 18.1” flat screen monitor.
My pal Helmet had actually bought one a few weeks ago and after seeing it my desire to have one...

...I received my Philips 200W6CS yesterday and am pretty happy with it so far, Having a widescreen does make quite a difference to me. The colours seem set more vibrant on this but apart from them being smaller there is really no real difference in the clarity of them compared to the Videoseven screen updated from.
I have tested the gaming performance and it is much improved on Freedom Force there is only a little loss of focus if you move the mouse from one side of the screen to another across buildings but it does not blur colours or blacks like before, with Prince of Persia WW it's much improved too, Before the Prince had a black afterglow around him now there is nothing I can see.
The monitor does have the much talked about Backlight bleeding issue as on the Dell monitors (in all four corners when screen is displaying black...

Advantages: Great quality, great max resolution, brilliant Disadvantages: Pricetag is a little heavy
...screens energy - and it includes speakers. That's pretty lush, but probably makes around 30 pence difference to your electricity bill. It's a 30 Watt screen.
Every little helps though (SAVE THE WORLD)
Value for Money
This is average value for money, comparing it to my Mum's Philips150B (i think that's what its called), its clearer higher resolution, better sound quality - then again it costs a little more as well. If you could find it for £150 then its a 'deffo', but it's probably not worth the £250 that i paid for it. Get a cheaper - maybe second hand - flat screen and upgrade more often.
Overall
Not the best but still damn good
I wouldn't buy it again though....
