Brilliant brilliance

Advantages: LCD quality, flat screen, style, pivot ability
Disadvantages: None

From the set off I must warn you that this opinion will be of little use to the more technically minded reader, I am ciao?s most techno phobic member and the fact that I am attempting to write a review on a piece of computer hardware is a wonder in itself. Like most computer illiterates I thought my 17? standard type monitor was the canines dangly bits, it was large enough to read web pages easily and large enough to make game playing enjoyable and easy on the eye but the down side was the bulkiness of the thing, it took up loads of room on my desk, was heavy and gathered dust quicker than a Bjork CD in the Jimblob household. Enter the rather sexy, and ultimately satisfying Philips Brilliance 180 P2 LCD 18.1? flat screen monitor. My pal Helmet had actually bought one a few weeks ago and after seeing it my desire to have one ...

Philips Brilliance 200W6CS

Advantages: Size
Disadvantages: cost

I received my Philips 200W6CS yesterday and am pretty happy with it so far, Having a widescreen does make quite a difference to me. The colours seem set more vibrant on this but apart from them being smaller there is really no real difference in the clarity of them compared to the Videoseven screen updated from. I have tested the gaming performance and it is much improved on Freedom Force there is only a little loss of focus if you move the mouse from one side of the screen to another across buildings but it does not blur colours or blacks like before, with Prince of Persia WW it's much improved too, Before the Prince had a black afterglow around him now there is nothing I can see. The monitor does have the much talked about Backlight bleeding issue as on the Dell monitors (in all four corners when screen is displaying black ...

Review of Philips Brilliance 200W6CS

Brilliance in a flat screen

Advantages: Great quality, great max resolution, brilliant
Disadvantages: Pricetag is a little heavy

For quite a while i've been looking around casually, wanting to upgrade my computer. I got onto ebay (as you do) and bought a grand selection of graphics cards sound cards, RAM and a new Harddrive. My next thought was, this isn't going to make my computer any better looking, with that breeze block as a screen. This is when i first thought about buyin a flatscreen, and believe it or not, i bought this not because i knew much about it, but because of its name. Possibly its best selling point Phillips BRILLIANCE. You don't get much wittier than that. Now, onwards to its functionality. Resolution and clearness The highest around for a reasonable price. The resolution goes higher than any current game requires and certainly high enough for anybody wanting a quality display. Because of this high resolution, the screen is pixel ...
