...The Sony DEJ785
Is compatable with all CD formats (CD-R's and CD-RW's) , this Sony product is almost alongside the ranks of a Mini Disc player, apart from it's size of course. With it's simplistic silver circular design and weight of 160g, it brilliantly fits into your pocket. it comes with good quality headphones and has a handy output device that is usefull for recording minidiscs.
The player seems to last for a good 40 to 50 hours, depending on the batteries if they are previously unused but there are also good quality rechargable batteries that come with the product. The Sony DEJ785 is jog proof - it withstands a huge amount of bumping about
My only real negative comment would be the battery holder being beneath the CD slot, which means you have to take out the CD to replace them, only a problem if you're either...

...I recently had to purchase a set of CD-R's to produce some CD's, for legal reasons I should point out!! So I brought a set of the 'XQ' version, along with the 'Q' version produced by Philips.
Made in Germany, the 'blurb' on the packaging states: 'For use with all Digital Audio CD-Recorders. PhilipsCD-R Q/XQ offer high quality, digital audio performance.'

Occasionally, I find that some CD-R's don't work when being written on, possibly because of the speed of my computer drive, but thankfully not one...

Advantages: Recorded cd's play on all cd players 100% Disadvantages: --
...The PhilipsCDR775 is a fantastic machine for it's price, around £170 from www.srtl.co.uk, for starters when you record CD's on a PC they will not play on all CD players, where as the discs recorded on the CDR775 are 'Red Book Complient', this means that all the CDR's that you record will work 100% on all other players.
The CDR775 has two separate decks, one features a fully-speced CD-R/CD-RW Recorder/Player and the other a CD/CD-R/CD-RW player. The CDR775 is the ideal for mastering (to CD-RW or CD-R disc), and then for making CDR copies at high speed. All this from one low cost, stand-alone machine.
When recording onto CDR you have several options, you can record direct from CD using the players two trays at normal listening speed or double speed, this is great as you can record a CD in half the time.
Also you can record from...
