...I have a Philips DVD-955 and I think that it is the ultimate video playback source for your Home Cinema. This sophisticated player delivers stunning digital video pictures, with digital multichannel sound, from revolutionary long-playing DVD-Video discs.
The digital pictures are crystal clear on your screen and the sound quality is stunning... This is definetly one of the best DVD players around... There are a wide range of functions, plus it not only plays DVD's, but it also plays VCD's and it can CD-R and CD-RW.
But the Philips DVD-955 doesn't come cheap, around £4,500, but it is definetly worth it... I would definetly recommend the Philip 955 to anyone who is looking for a DVD player that does it all, because this one certainly does......

Occasionally, I find that some CD-R's don't work when being written on, possibly because of the speed of my computer drive, but thankfully not one of the Philips...

After owning a dvd/vhs player for about 4 years and the dvd player finally deciding not to work at all, after a period of it sometimes playing dvds and sometimes not depending on the mood it was in, it was decided it was time to get a new one. As we now... more
Ahhhh the wonders of cordless shavers!
My first ladyshave was a little white one with one of those twirly, coily wires, which then meant that you had to find a socket to be able to use it. So that meant having to shave in the bathroom, and if someone... more
I was attracted to purchase this DVD player a while ago for its DivX capabilities (something not too many players have).
It is a fairly impressive HDMI player, supporting 1080p High Definition resolution pictures. The HD output is flawless and makes... more
