I bought this as a set of three cordless phones, one of which has an answer machine. They have always worked perfectly and I have never had a problem with them at all.
Phone features: - All three phones are silver and sit on a silver base (which also acts as their charger) that can sit on a shelf or be screwed to a wall. The bases plug into a mains socket, which means they don't work if there is a power cut. One of the phones has a larger base which acts as the answerphone, and I don't think you can attach this one to a wall. - The phones are cordless, which is much more convenient and my only concern with this is the possible health risks that all cordless and mobile phones have (radiation etc.). However, the phones have a speakerphone function (great when you're stuck in a queue as you can get on with chores and don't have to wait with the phone stuck to your ear). - You can also store several 'quick dial' numbers in each phone. - There is an intercom function where you can use one of the phones to phone a different phone in set, e.g. as an alternative to shouting upstairs to say that dinner is ready! The phone makes a different noise when someone is calling it on the intercom, so you know it's an internal call. - There is a choice of ring tones for the phones.
One slightly difficult thing about using the phones is that when you want to switch a call between handsets, rather than just picking up the other phone you actually have to transfer the call. This isn't difficult but you do have to learn how to do it. Luckily the instruction manual is very good so you can learn all these different functions easily enough.

This is a good set of three phones plus answerphone that comes with a wide range of useful functions.
Advantages: good price~ £40, Keypad lock Disadvantages: Talk time up to 10 hours
I took advantage of the DECT technology and still do experience the sound quality during all communications.
The second and third handset allows me to have a phone in a room without the need for a telephone socket which is quite handy really.
Digital answering machine with remote access is a very good feature but when someone calls me I need to be quick enough to answer before the answering machine starts its routine. If I am not then the people ...

Advantages: Aesthetically pleasing Disadvantages: Changing phone options is complicated
This cordless twin phone set is very stylish and is generally very reliable. I had problems with previous cordless phones where they would ring out of sync with each other but I haven't had any problems like this. The best feature is probably the ease with which you can retreive answer phone messages - there is a play button on the front of the main phone base. At the moment, however, we still haven't figured out how to record our own answer phone ... ...took a long time to work out how to increase the volume. I would recommend that if you buy this phone you keep the manual and keep it safe as it is not really very user friendly.
I do think that the aesthetic qualities make up for this and keeping the manual is good practice to follow anyway! ...
