This little slimlne beauty was bought on impulse whilst Xmas shopping in Boots last year Well sort of.. We have a Sony SLV-900 as our main unit in the lliving room,which is combi unit of DVD/Video. The Philips dvd625 was bought as a christmas gift for my partner, only because it was on special offer at £45 in Boots when you spent over £40 on other items, at the time (December 2003) it was £90 everywhere else. This one of 3 DVD players in our household and this is the one that sits proudly in the living room, the 2 previous occupiers of that prime position are now safely tucked up in my childrens bedrooms. I've had my DVD625 for over 15 months and it is still performing as well as it did when it came out of the box. Setup is very, very easy. You only have to plug the scart socket into the player and your TV, plug it into the mains, oh and put the batteries into the remote and that's it. Anytime you turn it on, it automatically it comes up on your TV. This is why my selections on picture and sound quality is just good as I honestly not sure.
