Pauses live tv, has progressive scan and will upgrade normal dvd ...HD TV. Checked this out with my original Lord of the Rings and Star Wars dvd's and he results were just excellent ! Sound through my Kenwood / Mission / Eltax home cinema set up was just superb.
You can even skip commercials when you play back programmes from hard drive, record onto both - and + dvd blanks (both R & RW) so no format worries and it will play DIVX as smooth as glass.
