Strangely there is no eject button on the remote but if you ... ...(took dome figuring out as im not one for reading manuals.)
The remote seems to get confused when you use it, it takes a while for the operation to actually go through (i.e calling up the menu) it seems to get confused and question itself more than likely thinking do i really want to do that?, i found it quite irritating and ended up shouting at it just to play the movie, but it gets there in the end.

Strangely there is no eject button on the remote but if you hold down the stop button for 2-3 seconds it ejects. (took dome figuring out as im not one for reading manuals.)

Also whilst selcting the menu option a BIG blue screen appears and takes up the whole screen so you actually miss part of the film whilst adjusting the picture setting so then theres a kerfuffle trying to rewind it to the bit you missed, if you can put up with those minor problems then go for it. overall a good buy, and i would recommend.
i purchased mine from amazon for £30.99 with free delivery i get most of my things from there as it cheap and items always arrive early, although so i hear it is available from other retailers. The instructions on this player was very easy to follow, just a case of scart into telly and plug into socket!! easy!! it doesnt really have any fancy features just the bog standard ones but for 30quid what can you expect?

So to some up if you want a budget DVD player then this should be one to have on your shortlist. Plus I have used Phillips products before and they are very reliable. I had to contact the customer care line once because my remote for my MiniDisc player had stopped working after 7 months and they sent out another one Free of charge. The lady on the phone was very nice and polite too.
