I got this from Argos a few months ago in a very good price, 70.00. I wasn't actually thinking of getting a DVD - divx player, just a normal DVD player, around 50 pounds. I looked at a variety of stores and one of them was Argos. When I spotted the Philips DVP-5100 DivX DVD Player I thought that it would be a good buy as it also plays divx. I didn't think about looking fro the price in other stores (I could have got I much cheaper but I don't really mind about the price as I'm very happy with it)

What does it come with? ---------------------------------- Remote control and Instructions on how to install (which is so easy to do tho, I did it on my self with out using the instructions)
Dimensions ------------------ 435x37x265 mm (suitable size to place it wherever you could place a DVD player)
Weight ---------- 3.4 kg (doesn't feel like!)
How does is look? -------------------------- It's so slim and very nice! It's silver. First there is the stand by/on button. On the left side there's the place to insert the disk, after the EJECT and then LCD which you can see for how long time your disk it's been playing. On the right side the button PLAY, STOP, PREVIEW, NEXT (which I haven't used yet because those options are on the remote control) Good to have on the DVD player (talking about the buttons) because, what if your remote control stops functioning? Then you can use the buttons from the DVD player. Those buttons are the basic ones.
Playable disk formats & Playable File Formats -------------------------------------------------------------- This is very good as it can play from CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, VCD to SVCD. Also for the file formats MPEG2, MPEG4, DivX, XviD, MP3, JPEG, MPEG1 So you can download movies whatever type you like and watch them with this DVD player and you can also listen to your music in mp3 format.
Output -------------------- You have the option to connect your DVD player with your TV via SCART or RCA. For the sound output, there is digital output as well as regular audio out which give you the option to connect it to an audio amplifier for a better sound quality.
My opinion --------------- This DVD player does and works exactly how it says. There's not much to say about it. It's very easy to install and use! Dead easy. It plays whatever you want and that's the good part. And the price it's very good for what it can offer you.
