The Philips 6600 has totally changed my mind about electric razors.

I bought this razor in Boots. It was the cheapest from a variety of Remingtons and Philips razors. I was not sure which one to buy so I just opted for the cheapest. It cost £39 but there was £5 off offer on at the time. The last electric razor I had I got for my 21st Birthday. It lasted 14 years. I must admit I was never very impressed with it and it did not ever give a full days shave ( but it was hand to have). The Philips 6600 has totally changed my mind about electric razors. When I opened the box it was not much to look at. It is grey and black in colour and very light, almost like an plastic toy. There were very few accessories. Just a light cover/carry bag, a cable for recharging and a small brush for cleaning. There is also a small clippers on the back. At first I thought I had been sold a dud. The shaver gave a stuttering performance and was not unlike the last one I had. I went back to using my normal razors. It was only when I fully charged it that it gave a full clean shave and I have used it every day since. The three heads give an excellent shave if used twice daily, a convenient solution to 15 minutes of close up mirror work every day. The charger time is about 2 hours as long as it has been charged once. New heads cost about £12 but there are some good websites dedicated to razors that may sell them cheaper. Value for money wise it is very good considering the cost of shave foam and razors these days. Also the convenience and speed is unmatchable. The only concern I have had is that I do not have a hard plastic case to keep it in and it does seem a bit fragile when holding it, I would not like to drop it.
