The 150B is a high-resolution Active Matrix LCD Monitor from Philips. This monitor has 1024 x 768 resolution with analog interface and a compact panel. The 150B is the perfect product for applications in banks, hotels and other businesses that require a smaller monitor size but demand good resolution. In addition to commercial applications, 150B also fits the emerging consumer market, an ideal 'starter' flat panel for home users replacing a traditional CRT display device with an LCD monitor.
Advantages: smart, compact, clear image and reliable Disadvantages: resolution capabilities
...a similar FlatPanel Monitor from a different company and within 3 months had to take it back because pixels began to fade and within days the whole screen was flickering and changing colours.
The Phillips150S however has so far lasted me 3 years and is still in perfect working order. I have had absolutely no problems with it and it works like new.
The screen stands on a simple base, and revolves on its neck. The screen can be tilted back and forward to suit you, however this function is a little stiff.
Connecting your monitor couldn't be simpler with just two wires, one being the power cable and the other slots into the back of the computer tower with two screws to secure the connection.
The buttons on the front of the frame are clearly marked so you can't go wrong and there is a wonderful "auto" button which adjusts the screen...

Advantages: Looks Disadvantages: Nothing Special About It
...Proview Monitor 713
A Good FlatPanel

I saw a monitor/TV in which you could be on the pc and watch the Tv at the same time on the same monitor, fantastic but it wasn't for me
The Proview Monitor 713 was though when I first saw this it stood out as it...

Advantages: Good focus and colour definition at a good prive Disadvantages: Doesn't support all resolutions and poor menu system
...I recently bought a Philips150S second hand from an auction site. Getting it out of the box first impressions are a fairly large frame around the picture, but this is made up for by the tiny footprint on the desk.
It's easy to connect up, standard VGA connection (no fancy DVI plugs here) and a power lead. Plug both in and you're away. This is slightly let down by the huge on switch which needs a good shove to wake the screen up, moving the screen about in the process!
Now you'll be sat looking at it thinking great, how do I adjust the picture? Either use the Auto button which is a real god-send ... it does it all for you. However, if this doesn't work you're in real trouble. The menu system to adjust the picture is stretched and isn't particularly up to the job. It also lacks some functionality, like size of picture...
