Advantages: great picture and at a reasonable price

...My last television served me for years before I gave into temptation and forked out £399.99 for the Philips 32PFL5403D to enable me to move into the 21st century and experience the true viewing purity of HD performance. I'm not a big watcher of television and don't have acres of space so the larger more expensive models were easy to ignore and I honestly think I have unearthed a gem of a television that didn't break the bank. The set up and installation was a piece of cake as the flat screen is really easy to put into place as it isn't that heavy and is easily portable with most of the weight in the base and lower part of the unit to give it balance when placed on any flat surface. Advantages: Looks great, small size, USB port for direct play from MP3 player
Disadvantages: intermittent fault, customer service not great

...one of these cds the stereo does not seem to be able to 'read' it and it comes up with 'no disc'. However, I often find that if I take it out and put it back in again it works- I have no yet found a disc that wouldn't play, although it can be irritating taking it out and putting it back in. I have contacted the Philips support centre over the telephone but did not find the staff very helpful and they suggested that I had done something wrong with the CDs! I has only attempted to play pre-recorded cds on this machine before, so it has only been brought to my attention recently. I am currently attempting to locate the receipt in order to see if I can get this looked at- if I so I would happily accept the same model again.
