Brilliant so Brilliant! I have just set this up and (borrowed) this iron for my mum. The glide across the clothes is so smooth it makes ironing so much easier. This iron also won Best steam Generator 2007.
Technical: On the scale of 2-5 for steam power and control this iron has grade 5 steam with digital steam control. The steam ready control takes 2 minutes, so I switched it on and by time I had got my basket of ironing it was ready to go! it has a storage stand, steam lock (this makes the steam continuous) and also comes with cord and hose storage. It has a digital control panel
The cost: This is the scary part - it cost Ģ199.79, that's why it was a gift! That was also the cheapest we could get it.
The Appearance: Well what can I say it look very stylish! We got it in Purple as it was the only one they are selling but hopefully in the future they will bring out more colours. The big base stand for the iron has a see through front where water is stored and it makes it look very extravagant!
The Value for Money: Well I was impressed! This is something that time will judge although I got breakdown cover for just Ģ44 for 3 years.
Overall: I really like this iron and I can see myself sneaking over my mums more to use it! It looks elegant and stylish!

...of pressure (3.5 bars) on wrinkles, straightening them in no time. There are several models of this iron available in the market: PhilipsGC7230, PhilipsGC8220, PhilipsGC8261 and PhilipsGC9040. All of these products work on the same principle. However, differences lie in the water tank capacity, steam pressure, continuous steam capability and last but not the least, the price (ranging from 75.00 to 250 ponuds). The higher the steam pressure better is the action on stubborn creases.
Overall, I love this iron and recommend it to everyone. Here are some of the positives and negatives.
Positives:
1. Shiny uncreased clothes in about half the time.
2. Easy to use.
3. Lightweight as the water is stored in a separate as compared normal iron.
4. It comes with a calc clean function which is easy to use and prevents scaling, which is...
