Advantages: Vertical Steam, Special Tip & Good Design Disadvantages: Price
The Philips GC 4340 is a precise steam iron which has a special tip so ironing is made easier for those hard to reach places on some garments. I have used the iron a few times and can say that its quite easy to use compared to the iron we had before this one. I'm comparing it on the basis that the iron we had before had a load of different setting for ironing which I found very confusing.

The GC 4340 is a solid iron, black and grey in colour. Not sure if it comes in a range of colours but I've only seen this colour. The grip it has is comfortable and isn't too heavy. I think it's a good design for a iron and has a sole ceramic plate so isn't sticky at all, glides very easily when in use. It also has a bright blue LED when its active glowing in the same area were the water in deposited.
The functions of the iron are very simple to use and has a built in anti scale system One of the main features of the iron is that it can do a excellent vertical steam for hanging garments, curtains or delicate garments. Other features of the Philips iron include:

Overall I have found the Philips GC 4340 steam iron to be very easy to use and operate. The cord is nice and long and I haven't really had any problems with it. I would say it's quite pricy for an iron though. We got it for around £60 on sale; usually it is around £70.
Advantages: Great Steam and safety features Disadvantages: Cord is very long
In the past I've bought Phillips irons and they have lastest for a long time my last iron was on its way out after a good five years of use so i decided to upgrade to this iron.
The iron inself is very attractive the design is great.
When switched on the water tank illuminates a soft bright blue light which is a great safety feature to let you know that the iron is switched on.Also if you leave the iron it has a setting to automatically switch ... ...feature is that if you anything like me and you acciendtly knock the iron off the ironing board it also has a automatic switch off so you wont ruin your carpet.
The water tank holds around 350ml water tank and also has water level indicator.
Other features included in the iron is it has Vertical steam for any curtains etc. The steam output is4 0g/min steam output and 100g/min shot of steam.
It also has a Anti-scale feature an Anti-drip feature ...

Advantages: Feature packed, looks good too. Disadvantages: A bit pricey for an iron?
...but thinking about it, this Philips one is really good! We have owned it for a year now and have never had any problems with it - the plate is still scale free (we live in a hard water area) and it still performs really well.
£60+ may be a lot to pay for an iron, but I think that in this instance it is well worth it. Check out the Philips website for all the features - we just plug it in and push it over our clothes which come out crease free with ...

...least, a breeze, and the Philips Azure Iron ticks both of them boxes.
The Iron has a ceramic ironing plate, which translates as 'glides across your clothes'! It makes the action of ironing effortless. My shirts can be ironed and on in a matter of moments. The other great feature of this iron is the many functions that it has built in for steam ironing. You can iron without steam, with a little steam, or with enough steam to drive a train. It has ... ...is yours completely. Now to the most important feature of this iron; its looks. Spot on! With its predominately black and grey body, it is a nice change to the usual decoratif of white appliances. I have only one gripe about this product, and it is very minor. Their is a cleaning process that you must undertake regularly, to keep the steam ing mechanism working properly. I forgot to do this once, and my shirt had to go back through the wash due to ...

Quick review of Philips GC 4340 Azure Precise
This iron is superb, especially since I run my own ironing business, this allows me to do the ironing in half the time I usually would, that really isn't an exagerration. There are more expensive irons on the market but in my experience the difference in quality is so slight that it is almost pointless spending more money on an iron. One flaw in it however, is it's reliability, I have had 3 of these same irons btu it hasn't cost me anything as they are insured. Even after breakign this many times, I still keep getting the same one though, simply because of how good it is when it DOES work. ...
