The Philips GC 4340 is a precise steam iron which has a special tip so ironing is made easier for those hard to reach places on some garments. I have used the iron a few times and can say that its quite easy to use compared to the iron we had before this one. I'm comparing it on the basis that the iron we had before had a load of different setting for ironing which I found very confusing.
The GC 4340 is a solid iron, black and grey in colour. Not sure if it comes in a range of colours but I've only seen this colour. The grip it has is comfortable and isn't too heavy. I think it's a good design for a iron and has a sole ceramic plate so isn't sticky at all, glides very easily when in use. It also has a bright blue LED when its active glowing in the same area were the water in deposited.
The functions of the iron are very simple to use and has a built in anti scale system One of the main features of the iron is that it can do a excellent vertical steam for hanging garments, curtains or delicate garments. Other features of the Philips iron include:
- 350 ml capacity water tank - Vertical steam refreshes hanging garments - Auto shut off if left unused for a certain time - Variable steam settings - Pointed steam tip with elongated steam slots - Anti-drip valve - 3m cord - Cushioned hand grip - Dimensions are 15.8(h)x12.5(w)x30.5(d) cm
Overall I have found the Philips GC 4340 steam iron to be very easy to use and operate. The cord is nice and long and I haven't really had any problems with it. I would say it's quite pricy for an iron though. We got it for around £60 on sale; usually it is around £70.

When it comes to reviews on household items i like to know about more what it has to offer but mainly how good it is. Loads of tech information but only really one/two lines about what it is like when you use it. How well does it work on different clothes etc. Let me know if you update.
