The Philips GC 4340 is a precise steam iron which has a special tip so ironing is made easier for those hard to reach places on some garments. I have used the iron a few times and can say that its quite easy to use compared to the iron we had before this one. ...but thinking about it, this Philips one is really good! We have owned it for a year now and have never had any problems with it - the plate is still scale free (we live in a hard water area) and it still performs really well. £60+ may be a lot to pay for an iron, but I think that in this instance it is well worth it. This iron is superb, especially since I run my own ironing business, this allows me to do the ironing in half the time I usually would, that really isn't an exagerration. There are more expensive irons on the market but in my experience the difference in quality is so slight that it is almost pointless spending more money on an iron. One flaw in it however, is it's reliability, I have had 3 of these same irons btu it hasn't cost me anything as they are insured. Even after breakign this many times, I still keep getting the same one though, simply because of how good it is when it DOES work.
