With the PhilipsGoGear you will have to use Windows Media Player to transfer files. In the past I have owned an iPod Nano and using iTunes to transfer music can be difficult if you're not that good with computers.
I love using my PhilipsGoGear, as it is so portable. The player its self has a very simple design and the player is very durable. The menu is very simple and easy to understand. The video quality isn't excellent but is ok to watch. The music quality is very good and finding music is not a problem. Instead of browsing by song you can also browse by artist, album and much more.

I think that the PhilipsGoGearSA1942 4 GB is a very good alternative to other popular MP3 players such as the Apple Ipod. As I have experienced a range of MP3 players I feel that I am able to review this item from a position of experience.
Sound Quality:
The default sound for this device is excellent. Also there are many options to change the EQ properties of the sound. The user caan choose from a range of EQs provided by the product such as "Rock" or "Jazz" or they can create their own.
Ease Of Use:
The funtionality of it's screen options are simple, easy to understand and to follow. However the button interface is a fraction too small and I can often accidentally press 2 buttons at once or the wrong button entirely.
