I have never used the warming rack, the extra wide slots and the one side toasting, are useful if you like to toast teacakes, crumpets etc. The defrost ... ...take the bread out of the freezer. The dial on the front has seven settings for how well done you like your toast plus reheat, which is handy if someone interrupts you .Why does the phone always ring as you are making your toast ? The stainless steel seams to be very good quality, as it cleans up better and stays bright and shiny, with far less effort than any other items I have in the kitchen made of stainless steel. My son complains that it does not get his toast brown enough, as he likes it well done to burnt , I don’t have a problem with it myself as I just like my toast golden brown and find it works well for me.
