I didn't care that it was 3100 watts, that it has a concealed element to stop it from scaling or a removable washable filter. I didn't even care that it cost a whopping £45 - eeek! It just looked so gorgeous I had to buy one.
Off we popped to Argos and paid our money. Was it worth it I hear you ask? Do I love it?
The answer is yes, ... ...now know that it has a 1.7 litres capacity and you can boil as little as one cup of water (easily shown by the level indicator on the side). It has a quick boil facility and really does boil a cup of water in seconds. The drawback to this is that it is so powerful it makes a lot of noise which can sometimes drown out the sound of the TV - but I don't care it looks gorgeous! Never did I think that I'd fall in love with a kettle (!) but the design of this little gem from Phillips is great.
It has every function you'd want from a kettle. As well as what I've already listed in 'Advantages' above, it also has a subtle see through 'fullness' gauge hidden by the side, non chrome handle (ie easy to keep clean), protected filter, boils very quickly and has a good capacity, yet it also looks absolutely amazing. Everytime someone ... ...guarantee that they'll comment on what a lovely looking kettle I have!
In fact, I liked it so much I bought the matching toaster - how's that for an endorsement??
