...I bought the Philips Senseo from Amazon as a Xmas present for my
partner as she likes a coffee(probably too much). I picked the Senseo because I thought it was a good looking machine and the coffee pods were available from my local supermarket. It was delivered in good time by Amazon.
When it was opened and tried on Xmas day, we could not get it to work. No matter what we tried the machine just refused to come on,
never mind make a cup of coffee.
Of course when we tried to contact Philips the phone lines were busy, it took 4 days to finally get a human on the other end of the line. All they said was take it or send it back to the company that I bought it from. I could work that out for myself!
So it is sent back to Amazon for a full refund and good riddance to it and Philips customer services.
I wish I could give you some more...

...The Phillips Senseo is compact, fast and easy to use. One of the main benefits over some similar products, is that you can make 2 cups of coffee at the same time, rather than having to carry out a cup at a time to waiting dinner guests. Cleaning the machine is childs play and it sits neatly on the worksurface, never accumulating dust as its so regulary used.
I honestly didn't think Id use it as often as I do, nor that visitors would actually ask for a cup from the machine every time they visit! You'd be hard pushed to buy a better machine for less money that ticks all the boxes.
The pods are a little pricey, but some of the major supermarkets offer their own branded alternatives....
