Advantages: Goodlooking Disadvantages: You can still buy this but only with black trim instead of cream.
We have had the PhillipsHD2603 toaster for several years. It is a traditional type of toaster, stainless steel with a cream trim and is slightly retro looking.
It has a warming rack, two extra wide slots with variable slot width , defrost function , one side toasting and a cancel button. I have never used the warming rack, the extra wide slots and the one side toasting, are useful if you like to toast teacakes, crumpets etc.
The defrost function is very useful if you have forgotten to take the bread out of the freezer. The dial on the front has seven settings for how well done you like your toast plus reheat, which is handy if someone interrupts you .Why does the phone always ring as you are making your toast ?
The stainless steel seams to be very good quality, as it cleans up better and stays bright and shiny, with far less ...

1.7 litres capacity
Removable washable scale filter
Water level indication
Cordless

Easy to clean element
Illuminated switch surround
Stainless steel concealed element
Hinged/locking lid
Lid wide opening for easy fillin

---Performance---
This is a pretty regular jug kettle. It is 2400 Watts so it's pretty powerful. It has a gauge along the side that indicates the level of water inside the kettle. It has a maximum capacity of up to three pints, which is the equivalent to one and a half litres. There is an anti-scale filter fitted, but this doesn't completely prevent a little ...
