After taking this coffee machine out of the box after purchase I first noticed how stylish and affordable it looked sitting next to the rest of my silver household appliances. With its simple yet affective design made me use it more and more and infact I don't know where I would be in the mornings without it!

After filling it up with water and adding my first cappuccino pod I switched it on and watched the right balance between coffee and water hit the bottom of the cup including a frothy top layer I was even more pleased after taking the first sip!!

Although this may look like a good point it did infact take a few minutes and a few glances at the instruction manual to make sense of it but after you work out how to use it its an absoulte lifesaver for when your in the rush and in dire need of your daily coffee.

Pro's

- You can brew 2 cups of coffee at the same time
- It's quick and takes under a minute to produce
- There's alot of choices when it comes to the coffee pods
- Coffee pods aren't as expensive as other brands
- Drip tray pulls out so its very easy to clean
- Designed well and very stylish
- Washable parts are dishwasher safe

Con's

- I admitt it did take a while to figure out when first purchased
- Slighty noisy
- Doesn't really inform you of when you need to re-fill with water
- It turns itself off after an hour so causes confusion

All in all this is a great coffee machine and the Pro's definatly outweigh the Con's and for Under £60 it is a great addition to the kitchen.

There's not alot I can say really about this coffee machine except I would give it a 5* and it is a recommended buy.

Also 1 coffee pod is equal to one cup of coffee as they supply the cups for you to put your coffee in. I believe the pods are around £3 mark in most supermarkets and you recieve 8 coffee pods which is equal to 8 coffees which would cost you around £25 if you ordered 8 coffees in Starbucks!

I bought my coffee machine from a high street store and I paid £59.99 but I believe they are £49.99 in Argos and also available in Black.

Super Senseo
Review of Philips HD 7812/50/51/59 Senseo Silver by highrevving

Advantages: Quick, easy, economical
Disadvantages: Not good for large groups

General I have 3 machines (house, flat and caravan) and know of 4 other people who have bought them based on sampling my coffee. They are simplicity itself and with pods priced from £2 per pack, remarkably cheap to run. In addition, the worms in my wormery just love devouring the pods after use! Specifics The machines are easy to load and use, though I would recommend the frequent washing of the drip tray to prevent mould growth! Excellent for ...
...6 require mugs of coffee, then it can take a while. For those who like their coffee milky, heat the milk in a microwave before adding the coffee - a superb cup of hot, frothy, milky coffee is quickly obtained. For those who like espresso, then a pod of strong coffee in a small cup produces a very acceptable result. ... Read review

Senseo
Review of Philips HD 7812/50/51/59 Senseo Silver by whitby_qpr

Advantages: makes a lovely hot cuppa quickly and easily
Disadvantages: NO HOT CHOCOLATE!

This product is ideal for anyone who enjoys a nice cup of coffee now and then. The Senseo has many different types of coffee that can be brought from any local supermarket for as little as £3. When I first brought this product I wondered if it would be any good as some of its competitors in the market are almost double the price. I was however extremey pleased with the coffee maker over all it brews a nice cup of coffee. Unlike other coffee makers ...
...senseo which is a shame as that really would top the senseo off if it could make the famous luxury hot chocolate. I've been very pleased with the senseo to be honest and hightly recommend it anyone looking for a coffee maker as compared to its competitors it really is great value for money. ... Read review

Review of Philips HD 7812/50/51/59 Senseo Silver by funki_kay

Advantages: easy to use, quick to heat up water
Disadvantages: expensive to buy the pods of coffee,

I recieved the 'senseo' as a gift for christmas, its a supurb looking addition to my modern kitchen, a real centre piece. The instructions were easy to follow with regard to the setting up of the machine and i was very quickly on my way to making coffee in the very first attempt. The machine makes wonderful coffee, it really tastes like it came from a coffee house.. It is easy to use and it heats up the water quickly so you do not have to wait too ...
...i have is the cost of the pods of coffee etc. I know in time they will come down in price but at the moment they are quite high, unless you catch them on offer in your local supermarket and then you can stock up. I would definatly recommend the senseo to any prosepective buyer, its a wonderfully simple machine to get to grips with and the coffee is divine. ... Read review

Phillips Senseo coffee maker
Review of Philips HD 7812/50/51/59 Senseo Silver by BRTimmins

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to clean, reliable
Disadvantages: None

Over the years I have had quite a few coffee machines of various types and makes. This one I would recommend to anyone - unreservedly. It is good looking, simple to use, easy to clean and unlike some is as reliable as any and much better than most. The biggest, and in my view the only, problem is getting pods and this is hardly Phillips' fault. Use is simple. Make sure the water container is full - it removes and re-assembles easily. Make sure you ...

Press the RH button for a large cup or the LH button for a small cup. From start, to a cuppa in your hand... three minutes max! ... Read review

Sensational Senseo
Review of Philips HD 7812/50/51/59 Senseo Silver by livewyre

Advantages: ease of use, consistent quality, easy to clean
Disadvantages: cost of coffee pods

We have had a Senseo coffee maker in our office for more than 6 months now, and it has out-performed any coffee machine we have previously had. The main advantage are: 1. The neatness of the pod system - no mess, really easy to clean 2. Consistency of the quality of coffee it produces. 3. Range of coffe flavours available To be frank, this unit is designed for domestic use, not for an office environment, however our Senseo coffee-maker must produce ...
...woking day and performs to the same level today as it did when it was new. I enjoy the standard coffee pods on a very regular basis, but some of the special flavours are definately worth investing in. My personal recommendation is 'Sydney' (but only if you like a hint of vanllia) ... Read review
