Disposable razors are quite expensive these days and they always leave my skin feeling quite dry. I have been using the Philips Ladyshave for the past year and although it is not the closest of shaves, it keeps my legs feeling soft and hydrated.

The most impressive selling point to the Ladyshave is that you can it from Argos for £14.00 which is an absolute steal. I had the previous Philips model to this and it lasted me about 6 years so they are a very good investment and hopefully this will last me just as long.

==WHERE CAN I BUY IT AND HOW MUCH?==

You can buy it from Argos for £14.00 or at the minute it is on offer on Amazon for £10.00!

==WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?==

The razor is light and made out of pink and white rubber and plastic. It is angled so that it is easy to hold and manoeuvre. It is waterproof so you can use it in the shower of use it dry. I probably would advise against submerging it in the bath, but it is more than splash proof. The shaver twists in two halves and once opened you can a compartment to put the batteries in. It runs off 2 AA batteries and these last for such a long time. I think I have yet to replace them in this model and I have owned it for over a year! The shaver is delicate so that you can run your fingers across it but it still manages to be tough on hair. The shaver end is protected by a plastic cap which makes it easy to store away. The foil shaving head does need a clean every now and then and this is easy to do with the small brush supplied. All you need to do is just brush away the hair and it is as good as new.

==DOES IT WORK?==

I will always use an epilator from now on as I much prefer the feel to a disposable razor. The best advice I can give you though is if you are gonig to have a wet shave make sure you really lather up your skin. If you are going to use it dry, you really need to make sure your skin is dry as a little bit of water stops the shaver working properly and it pulls at the skin. I prefer to lather up as it feels much more gentle and softer on my skin and leaves them feeling soft. I much prefer this to disposable razors as I tend to have really dry skin and feel that a disposable razor really pulls at my skin. This shaver feels like it is hardly touching my skin and leaves it feeling soft rather than dry and itchy.

As I have said above, it really is not the closest of shaves though. If I let the hair grow on my legs for a few days then the shaver will take the hair right down and my legs will feel soft and lovely. If I do it every day and there is not much to work with, they tend to feel stubblier. You need a little bit of growth to really get the best out of it. Using the razor on my arm pits is the same and dispite having quite a large head, it is quite easy to manipulate and get the awkward hairs out of the nooks and crannies.

==WILL I RECOMMEND IT?==

Yes, for less than 15 pounds you can have a good quality shaver than will last you a long time! It is reliable and good quality and I hope that I have it for another 5 years like my old one.
