I already owned a bikini trimmer but I forgot to take it with me when I came to university. First port of call was Argos where I noticed the Philips Bikini Perfect. I was going to go for a Remington at Ģ15 but with Philips, I got an extra 2 attachments for Ģ24.99. Also, I thought the little bit extra would probably give a closer shave. Unfortunately, it was out of stock at my local Argos so I went to Boots instead where it was the same price.
The box is a rather nice elongated knicker shape. It clearly shows the actual shaver and attachments so you can see that the shaver is a silverfish colour rather than the tacky gold colour it seems to be in the catalogue. Also, it shows how the pattern on it is in an engraved effect and adds something to the style rather than just being painted on. My only problem with the style is that the on switch is a plastic jewel which doesn't look quite as classy and makes the switch not as grippy as it could be.
There are three attachments; a shaver, an epilator and clippers. I have owned cheap versions of all of these at some point and the Philips is much better than them all. For a start, although noisy, it isn't quite as noisy. The shaver and clippers gives close shave. The clippers also come with a guard so that you can adjust the length to one of four up to 9mm. Neither cause any irritation. The epilator works well as well totally removing the hair from the root. This means that of course there will be pain though this only lasts for the time you are epilating. There may be redness in your skin as well. This all decreases the more you get used to epilating as does your hair growth in that are. All the attachments are sized perfectly for the bikini area making it easy to use.
It is not suitable for dry shaving but the attachments, with the exception of the epilator can be rinsed under the tap. There is a brush supplied for the epilator. There are instructions for the shaver and all attachments. There is also an adapter for charging. A 24 hour charge should last for 30 mins though if you can't wait that long, a 2 hour charge should last 10 mins. Unfortunately, it cannot be used while charging and the only other problem I can foresee is that of all rechargeable batteries such as those in mp3 players and mobile phones - it will wear down over time. My only other problem was the lack of a storage pouch.
Advantages: 3 in one elpilator/ foil /trimmer, small epilator great for sensitive areas . Disadvantages: small for large areas, noisy, foil attachment is useless, can't use staight from power supply,
...months ago I bought the Philips Bikini Perfect HP 6364 . I haven't used a electric shaver for a while and was tired of shaving
and the description said 'Shape, shorten, contour or even completely remove hair from the bikini area.' This is exactly what I wanted , a shaver that did everything. Excellent if you like to use more than one method to remove unwanted hair without the expense of 3 separate shavers.
The shaver comes with 4 attachable heads. ... ...for gentle trimming, 1x epilation head for removing hair from the root 1x Adjustable sliding comb with 4 length settings from 2 - 9.5mm,
Rechargeable with over 30 minutes operating time Maintenance free blades
2 year manufacturers guarantee.
The epilation head is small so not as painful to use as a larger sized head would be, I've been using it on my bikini line with out wincing too much and on my legs its hardly noticeable. I also find it even ...

Advantages: Quick and leaves no mess unlike waxing! Disadvantages: The noise- it can be quite terrifying for first-time users!
...the noise coming from the Philips HP 6364 Bikini Perfect for the first time was quite unnerving. However, after using it once, I felt brave enough to use it again and it was much less painful than waxing. The pre-trimmer was quite useful in making the whole process less painful, though after using it once you do seem to get immune to the pain even if you have sensitive skin. Although I was already the proud owner of the Philips Satinelle Soft epilator, ... ...Along with the cleaning brush, Philips have supplied a very small bottle of oil to lubricate the shaver head to be once every year or so, although this can be also done with sewing machine oil too.
All in all, the Philips HP 6364 Bikini Perfect is a clever little tool: a Trimmer, Shaper, Shaver and Epilator all in one :o) ...
