This is the cheapest of the Cool Skin line of shavers, the other versions boasting a slightly longer battery life ... ...the money back guarantee however Philips offer a 28 day money back guarantee if you are not happy with the product.
As far as prices go I think the Philips HQ6707 is well prices in the market and great value for money. The shaver comes with a few packs of gel to use with the dispenser but once they are gone I do not intend on purchasing anymore. They are handy but I feel that in the long run you will be paying out a lot of cash for the convenience ...

Advantages: Cheap, Top Quality, Durable Disadvantages: None that come to mind. The 2 pin plug may annoy some but not me.
I recently purchased this shaver on the back of the reviews it received here as I did not want to pay £75+. I picked one up for £40 and have to say its been fantastic. It can be used wet or dry, provides a close and comfortable shave, and thanks to the cool gel system, the irriation that can come with electric shavers was no where to be seen. You get 2 gel packs and 2 moisturiser packs when purchased, personally I prefered to use the moisturiser ... ...run out they are easy to purchase online (www.shavers.co.uk) and are with you within a couple of days which is fine. The shavers has 3 rotory heads than move independantly allowing every part of your face to be shaved to the same level. So you're not left with any untidy tufts that can't be reached. The Phillips HQ6707 is a plug in shaver and I have found the battery life to be very good and will easily last a weekend away without having to take ...

Advantages: Shave in the shower, Moisturiser, Rinse under tap Disadvantages: Closeness of shave
I received this as a gift from my wife in March of this year. My previous electric shaver (a Philishave 805) had, after 10 years, stopped retaining charge so it was time to replace it.
Personally, I would probably not have picked this shaver - the transleucent plastic case and the look of the moisturiser (I'll not elaborate!) would put me off. However, I have found that this shaver has been a pleasure to use.
The shaver came with 4 Nivea Coolskin ... ...I have found that each sachet last ~1 month, shaving (on average) once a day and being relatively sparing with the lotion. The lotion does make a difference and I find the moisturiser to be the better option - as you get the samples to start off you can make up your own mind. Replacement sachets are ~£3 for 4 and are available everywhere (I get mine at Tesco).
There are a couple of issues which I find a little annoying. Firstly, if you shave in ...

Advantages: Rechargable, Wet/dry shaver, cream dispenser, good shave Disadvantages: Doesn't have battery indicator lights, long charging time
...possibilities, we went with the HQ6707, and here's how it compares with his previous Philips.
Our first problem was price. Of the different models we looked at, this one seemed to be the best price for what we were looking for. We actually paid only the equivalent of just over £62, which, if you look at the prices in the technical stuff below is a very good price indeed. So, that seemed to be a good thing to begin with.
The shaver comes with a charger stand, a cleaning brush, the required covers and some of the special cream. While the previous model came with a very attractive travel case that was big enough to take everything inside it, with room to spare, this one has a pretty flimsy zip case which my husband will probably never use, since he kept his old one. That was our first disappointment.
With the previous shaver we got two...

I was attracted to purchase this DVD player a while ago for its DivX capabilities (something not too many players have).

I have fairly sensitive skin and up until now I have always used a wet shave razor. Wet razors didn't leave my skin burning, but they did leave the skin feeling very exposed and would cause it to dry out. Since I'd read that electric razors were good in... more
