I was looking for something to connect with my ps3 as the old LG dvd 5.1 system was starting to skip and jump and when it's a music dvd it gets a bit anoying. Sitting there with a ps3 with blu-ray and up scaling Capabilities, but the misses would not let me spend to much. After a lot of searching through the sony's, the toshibas's, the bose's, etc, etc, all for around 300 - anything pounds, I finaly landed on pixmania. co.uk and found this gem with 7.1 for 210 pounds + around 13 pounds p & p also bought hdmi lead + digital optic lead ( whitch when the unit came it had it with it so did'nt realt need ) from ebay for about a fiver. but after a little wait, because they had run out of stock, in fact it came 2 weeks before they had stated. But when it came within a half an hour it was all set up and ready to go. All the speakers where colour coded sub one colour front left another and so on, so could not go wrong. Also it has two hdmi in connectors so you can have youre ps3 + sky hd for instance. At the moment though I have only been able to setup the five speakers instead of the seven but the quality is just as good becuase you can tell it you only have five speaker surround.
trying to set up the sound was a bit more tickier but when you get the gist of what they are saying it all comes together. The only trouble i found was to get the full affect of this system is to have a bit of volume behind it but I do not want to annoy the neighboughs to much. This system has now brought the sound to the picture quality of the ps3 and for a good price that the misses can accept as well. As well if anybody is intrested it has a radio on the system as well, but but to me it's not dab personaly i would not bother, but somebody might.
