The PhillipsDect 121 Duo. A simple and easy layout phones with fantastic sound and voice quality. One of the main features of the phones are that you get two wireless phones and only one of them has to be pluged into a phone socket. The other can be anywhere as long as it is pluged in. No other are cables required. Advantages: eay to use, easy to set up Disadvantages: not yet managed to use the SMS function
I had a fax/phone for years and it finally gave up the ghost a few months back, on looking for a new one I wanted:

The Philipsmagic 3voice dect sms has all this and more.
The manual it comes with is relatively simple understand, and if for some reason you loose it, the machine it?s self has a help function and will print out the info you need.
I set the machine in just a few minutes ? literally a matter of plugging it in, connecting it to the phone line, inputting the date and time and putting batteries in to the handset.
The walk about handset is optional, it was what I wanted but it does come with a fixed hand set if you prefer.

I would never buy another PhilipsDect phone. Since we have bought our dual set, we have not been happy with it. At first, it was simply a matter of battery life. We would take the phone off the hook at full battery power, make a call and after forty-five minutes, the battery would be irritatingly bleeping because it has almost run out.
Since, however, the problem has become worse. One of the two phones no longer rings or displays Caller ID and the sound when answering a call is extremely muffled. So we now have to carry one phone around the house with us, which beats the object of the 'Duo' idea. And of course, with that phone off the hook for long periods of time, the battery life is an annoying factor.
The Caller Display is the only good thing about this phone, which also has a poor choice of ringtones, a small non-colour screen ...
