3 Stars Sleek, Silver and Should Be Professional! Review with images 28/01/2012

Advantages Advantages Lightweight, easy to use, uses only one battery, waterproof, 2 cutting guards.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be dangerous, no carry case to store the guards or protective cap, not as good as others.

I wasn't expecting much in my Christmas stocking 2010 in terms of gadgets, although the inevitable Yankee Candle tarts make great stocking fillers and I got quite a few as well as some interesting little gadgets for my computer and then, a rather large box that I thought could well have turned out to be an electric toothbrush. Like Baylis and Harding bath products being overstocked on supermarket shelves this year for Christmas, the Philips Nose and Ear Trimmer NT9110 was one of many products overstocked LAST Christmas. Every pharmacy I visited seemed to have this product on a shelf and even ... more

Advantages Advantages Very easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages requires an AA battery

The Philips NT9110 It's not just women who feel the need to groom themselves and we men also have to worry about unsightly hair sprouting from places we would much rather it didn't such as the from the nose and the ears. Now using some tweezers to remove this hair may be quick but it most certainly isn't painless espeially on somewhere tender like the nostrals. A few years ago I didn't have to worry about nose or ear hair but as I am rapidly approaching 30 I have noticed that in the past couple of years hair has been sprouting there at an alarming rate and I now have to make sure that I remove ... more

5 Stars Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow Review with images 24/11/2012

Advantages Advantages Trims hair without pulling hair, light, pocket sized, waterproof, trims eyebrows too

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

As anyone knows, as you get older your body goes through some god awful changes, hairs seem to sprout from any orifice and this usually starts with the nose. I was sitting down a few months ago and I had a little bit of an itchy ear, oh my god! what is my body preparing its self for by making hairs grow out of my ears? What radical things are planned for my older years that I would require hairy ears? I didn't stop there though, I moved towards my eyebrows and I found a single rogue hair, the same length of one of my head hairs growing wild, is this normal? was my first reaction, followed by a ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap and effective

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing

I do suffer a bit from extra nasal hair (and ear hair and really bushy eyebrows) but I am a hairy person and I always have been. However, I am finding that the older I am getting, the more hairy I am becoming, but I think that's meant to be normal. I invested in some fiarly cheap nasal trimmers for £10 from Woolworths (when they still existed) and these are still going strong and I use them on a very regular basis. The appliance is neat and easy to use and is run by a AA battery which has a decent amount of life in it - I usually find it will last me around three weeks before I have to change ... more

Advantages Advantages It does really work and it's a good price.

Disadvantages Disadvantages None that I can see. Depends how long it lasts.

OK, so a nose and ear trimmer is not exactly everyone's idea of a "must buy" product is it? Right? Wrong! Just like body odours, hairy legs and armpits, rampant hair growth from one's ears, brows and nasal orrifices will haunt most of us at some stage in our lives. I know because, I've been fighting a rearguard action for some time now - and slowly losing. Well, no more because this little beauty works! (and, believe me, I've tried em all and the Philips NT9110 really does the trick) You can hear the hairs being removed and that's the acid test as far as I'm concerned. The last appliance I ... more
