I bought PD7000 a couple of years ago, I think three years. Since then it has worked rather well.

When first buying PD7000 I hesitated because it was not the cheapest of the options. It looked good though, simple yet elegant. What made me decide for this specific model of portable DVD players was that it played burned discs also (divx).

PD7000 is very light-wighted and small, that makes it easy to carry the device with you while going on trips.

The DVD-player has a 7 inch screen. The quality of image is very good, nothing bad to say about that really. This is really a minor issue, but still - the screen is made in a way that it is totally impossible to watch it when in direct sunlight (of course, that is the problem with all portables).

With PD7000 you can also play MP3. You can either attach headphones or listen the music through the speakers under the screen (you can see these from the pictures). The sound might be a little too quiet sometimes so the speakers are not that good.

It takes a little time for the machine to "warm up" after being turned on but you don´t have to wait for a long time.
Now a bit about the inside-features. When inserting a disc to the player the device opens up a blue page where you can choose the file you want to view. The DVD-player offer you to put on subtitles using the "Subtitle" control on the control panel.
Also from the control panel you can always (also during watching a movie) choose "Disc menu" - you can setup the language and subtitles from there too. You can wind the movie forward at a speed of 32x. What is bothering me just a little bit is that you are not able to see how much of the movie is still left while watching it.

When buying the player you will also wind a car adapter from the package. This is what has kept me going on all these field trips with our car. It works perfectly. Of course you can also charge at home using a normal charger. One of the player´s biggest cons would be it´s short battery life. It works excellently when connected to a power source but without it the battery does not last for longer then 30-40 minutes. This became a problem after using the device for a year or two - in the beginning the battery lasts longer.

In conclusion, taken all the pros and cons, I would really recommend people buying this small yet so helpful device as it really fulfills it´s purpose.
