I have owned or used quite a few portable DVD players, and this one certainly has the best image quality. The screen is bright and has excellent resolution.
The Divx feature makes playing video files much easier, especially you can simply copy the files onto either a USB flash drive or SD memory card and plug it in.
When in the file mode, it lists files in long file name format. It's much easier to find the file you want then 8.3 file name format.
However, this Philips PET1030 is not perfect. For some unknown reason, it refuses to remember the last played position and properly resumes playing for some commercial DVD discs. Also it will refuse to play some DVD's no idea why, think it makes up its own mind.
Summary: I love the player and the car mount kit. This is probably the best player in the market. However, I have problems playing some DVD's.

Your review is ok, though lacks detail - If it plays DivX via USB, SD and DVD discs, what is the interface like (ie. accessing the files)? What is the quality playback like? How accessible are the USB/SD connections? Price? - Ian
