    Advantages Advantages small, compact, great quality and lovely looking!

    Thanks Ciao for accepting my product hehe Philips PET700 7" portable DVD player I am a massive DVD fan, all my old video collection had now been updated to disc, and I generally try to watch as many as I can, fitting it in around work and of course, my time on Ciao.     My desicion to purchase the PET700 came down to two things; price and features. At the time I paid around £190 for it, a fairly average deal, however I'm sure it's now available a lot cheaper. As for the features, well, this portable DVD player is quite simply brilliant. It's not just about watching DVDs. The PET700 plays audio CDs like a CD player, including home made CD-R and CD-RWs. It also plays MP3 CDs and MP3 DVDs, which can hold around 300 and 1000 MP3s respectively. It plays home made VCDs with perfect quality on the small screen.     Advantages Advantages Stylish, good accessories. easy to use, good value and quality. Multi format.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly noisy on start-up, Lid catch has cheap catch. Weak sound.

    We just recently took this Portable DVD player to Greece on holiday, we found it extremely useful for us and for our 3 year old daughter on the one day that we had bad weather, she was more than happy watching Pinnochio or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It just took some of the pressure of us to keep her occupied. We also watch it in bed last thing at night, which is quite a treat. When I first saw a film, I was well impressed with the pure picture quality, it being so crisp and clear. Which I suspect is true of most portable DVD players to varying degrees.
